Dragon Naturally Speaking Review - Triple Your Creativity

I'll start off this Dragon Naturally Speaking 11 review by saying that if you haven't heard of Dragon Naturally Speaking you better come out from under that rock! DNS is the most talked about, coveted and all round popular speech recognition software available to mankind.

It's revolutionized the way writers create their art and the way people communicate through their computers.

It's a dream come true for the lazy, a Godsend for those who are differently abled and without the ability to use a keyboard and a massive boon for people who write for a living, or just for fun or artistic satisfaction.

When you first get the software you'll be setting it up to properly recognise your voice and ensure it works at peak efficiency.

You'll first make sure your microphone is working.  Sounds easy, but in my experience, microphones never work first time and I want to throw them through the window.

Once you set up your mike, you create a user profile to train the software to recognise your particular voice and speaking pattern.  You'll just need to read out a few passages and shouldn't be any longer than 10 minutes or so.

It comes pretty much ready to go, but doing this will increase your accuracy in the long run.

As you can see by the video above, the dictation is pretty amazing and you're sure to get in the region of 95% accuracy if you keep your voice pattern consistent.

All in all, you'll be creating documents, letters, hubs and articles 2 to 3 times faster than with typing alone.  That's even with the odd correction you'll be making.

Also, you probably noticed how simple it was to get going.

Other features include bluetooth compatibility and the ability to synchronise handheld devices with your computer to use DNS on the go.

I'll end my Dragon Naturally Speaking review by advocating it wholeheartedly. If you're interested in increasing your writing output or have a need for voice recognition software then I can't recommend Dragon Naturally Speaking highly enough.

With all of its features and the way it works so simply and easily it puts competitors to shame.
