Free Speech Recognition Software

What's better than free? Very little.

Getting a quality product for a reasonable price is something everyone wants.

If you're interested in voice to text software, but have a small budget, you still have opportunities.

There are three options I can recommend:

1. E-Speaking
2. Tazti
3. Windows Speech Recognition

E-Speaking, while an excellent product, is not free for long.  30 days and you'll have to end up paying for it.  $10 though.  Well worth the price.

Tazti - Totally free

Windows Speech Recognition - Free if you have Vista or 7.  Considering you've already paid for Windows this might not seem free, but if you have it'll seem free.

Which one of the above options you would choose is entirely dependant on your situation.

If you are short on cash, Tazti, while not the most fully featured of the options, is as free as you're going to get.  No outlay at all.

If you have a tiny budget, E-Speaking is great and really competitively priced.

WIndows Speech Recognition is an astounding piece of software and you'd almost have no reason to even think about buying another commercial package.
